About Me
Silas Asante is a postgraduate student in the Department of Geography and Planning and a research student with the Community Appropriate Sustainable Energy Security (CASES) team at the University of Saskatchewan. My current research focuses on technical assessment of biomass energy resource potential in remote and Indigenous communities in northern Saskatchewan, Canada using a geospatial approach, as part of CASES partnership projects. Upon completing my graduate program, I look forward to collaborating and working with private, international, and government institutions that apply GIS in natural resource assessment, planning, management, and analysis.
