About Me

Tomoko McGaughey is a PhD student in the Department of Health Sciences at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Her research focuses on the accessibility and use of healthcare across differing degrees of rurality in Canada. Her work involves measuring accessibility through spatial means using ArcGIS and developing community engagement tools to understand why individuals services in the way that they do. She has also developed space-based demographic and resource availability profiles to identify areas in need of trauma and violence informed physical activity resources.
