Hello! My name is Tiana, and I am a current graduate student at Simon Fraser University completing a Masters of Science in Geography. Throughout both my undergraduate and graduate studies, I've developed a passion for GIS and GIScience and how the technology can be utilized in solving various geospatial phenomena. One project that I have been developing over the last year as well as focusing on for my Masters' Thesis is finding suitable locations for urban agriculture in urban areas (specifically Metro Vancouver). In order to further my research, I applied for the Esri Canada GIS Scholarship and was granted the award in 2024. For those of you who are interested in the topic, I've included a copy of my poster.
