About Me
The goal of my research is to improve forest operations by giving industry the right tools to avoid drastic damage to the forest. By knowing where and when it's safe to harvest or operate in the forest, damage can be mitigated and altogether avoided. In my studies, this is made possible through GIS and spatial maps.

In my own words...
Having the opportunity to showcase one's work, and having that work be chosen for this award is both humbling and exciting. It opens doors to utilize GIS in a fuller scope down the road. This award encourages students to exercise their talents in this field and to grow as better equipped programmers.
