About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Lindsay Bridges and I am a 2022 graduate from the University of Guelph. I completed a Bachelors degree in Geography with a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Environmental Analysis. I am very thankful to be a recipient of the 2022 Higher Education GIS Award.

I was introduced to GIS in my second year of university. After taking many remote sensing and GIS classes, I chose to declare it as my minor in my third year. Having this minor allowed me to view the geography disciplinary in a whole new light and appreciate the many applications of GIS software.

I am working for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) for the duration of the summer as an Environmental Geomatics Assistant.
