Innocent Owuor graduated from the University of Southampton with a Master’s of Science in Public Health. While pursuing his Master’s, he explored complex demographic and epidemiological data analysis techniques used to inform public health research and decision making. During this time, he was frequently exposed to the uses of GIS in public health. Wanting to gain greater understanding of GIS, he enrolled in the Advanced Diploma program at BCIT. Innocent intends to learn how to analyse population health and health inequities in relation to georeferenced and environmental data. He intends to pursue a career in public health research
