About Me

Hello! My name is Adam Mikolajczak, and I am in my final year of a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Planning degree at Fanshawe College.

I am also fortunate to hold a diploma from the GIS & Urban Planning program from the same institution.

My current research interests involve using the temporal dimension to determine walkability and the possibility of food deserts in Canadian cities.

My varied hobbies include hiking, knitting, and small radios. I am currently in the process of obtaining my amateur radio license to be able to tinker with global positioning with radio signals.

In my own words...
The scholarship is an amazing tool to encourage students to innovate new solutions using GIS technology. It has pushed me to try to implement theories about spatial analysis, and use new techniques. The textbooks have been helpful in my Python coding, as a handy textbook on the subject makes it that much easier.
