About Me
Alexander “AJ” Wray is a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Graduate Scholar (Masters) and Ontario Graduate Scholar working with Dr. Jason Gilliland in the Human Environments Analysis Lab at Western University. AJ is currently working towards a Master of Arts in Geography, and is a member of the Esri Canada Centre for Excellence at Western University. In 2018, he completed a cooperative undergraduate degree in planning, and diploma in environmental assessment, at the University of Waterloo. During this degree, he also undertook international exchanges with the University of Tokyo Department of Urban Engineering in Japan, and the Politecnico di Milano School of Design in Barcelona, Spain. AJ’s research focuses on the intersections of geospatial technology, health and wellbeing, and local government policy. In the community, he serves on the board of the Town and Gown Association of Ontario. He plans to pursue a PhD after completing his graduate program at Western.
