Hello! My name is Michael Wong and my background is in environmental science but I have recently chosen to pursue a career in GIS. I am currently enrolled in BCIT's advanced diploma program for GIS and am set to complete it in June 2023.
I recently participated in the Esri Canada GIS Centres of Excellence (ECCE) App Challenge. It is a competition between teams from schools across Canada. Teams are given just one week to create new and unique apps using Esri technology and open data to address a problem related to a specific theme. The topic for 2023 was to create an app focused on a topic or issue related to Conservation and Protected Areas or Urban Ecology.
