Winning the Esri Canada GIS Scholarship means a lot of things to me. It gives me the best starting point possible in beginning a career in GIS, supplying me with modules and courses to increase my knowledge of GIS, as well as giving me the opportunity to network with my peers within the community. From the time I was introduced to ArcGIS at Saint Mary's University, I have aimed to surround myself with the software and this scholarship has given me the chance to do that outside a university setting.
