"I am honored to be one of the recipients of the 2015 Esri Canada Scholarship. Throughout the time I have spent at Simon Fraser University I have always strived to expand my knowledge of Geographic Information Systems and related disciplines. The vast number of educational resources included within this scholarship has afforded me even greater opportunities for learning and development - both as a student and as a professional within the geomatics industry. The educational resources provided through this scholarship have allowed me to concentrate on what is most important for me; the development and improvement of my technical skills. The Esri virtual campus, in particular, contains an impressive catalogue of resources that I have recently utilized during my most recent work placement with the Federal Government as a Geomatics Project Officer. I would like to express my gratitude for this award and thank Esri Canada for investing in me and future GIS professionals across Canada."
