"Receiving the Esri Canada Scholarship has been an honour, both personally and professionally.  The value of this award and recognition from industry leaders is extremely encouraging and validates the significance of the issues my research seeks to address. The Esri products and licenses made available to me have been exceptionally useful as I continue my current research on Primate biodiversity and conservation.  With these tools I will be able to develop and present a better spatial understanding of primate distributions, patterns of diversity, habitat loss, and species protection efforts. The resources and training provided by the award will allow me to expand and strengthen my GIS skill set for future teaching and academic/professional work."
